this past weekend my old friend, gerber (a friend from club soccer), came to visit chicago from arizona. we met downtown to view the new macy's christmas windows (a sad good bye to chicago's beloved marshall fields). we did a little shopping and had the traditional chicago dinner, deep dish pizza from pizzeria uno's....delicious! then we headed over to a german street market and found some of the same candy that were staples in both our diets while we lived in europe. ohhhh memories :) thanks for the visit gerber! 
that darn train snuck right up on us!
